Battery health is one of the biggest levers on your quote. Below 80%, most models are assessed on the assumption that the battery needs replacing, which drops the offer a tier.

That is because reselling the device then has to absorb the cost of a battery swap. At 90% or above the device can usually be resold as-is, with little or no deduction.

Holding on to a phone because it still works means the battery keeps degrading. Getting a quote as soon as you start considering an upgrade usually nets you the most.
