Before you sell: how to wipe your phone safely

Always wipe your device before parting with it. We also run a dedicated erasure process once it arrives, but we strongly recommend erasing it yourself first.

On iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings. Turn off Find My and sign out of your Apple ID beforehand.

On Android the wording varies by model, but Settings > System > Reset options returns the phone to factory state. Remember to remove any SD card separately.
